Pre-64 (1948) Winchester Model 70 in .375 Holland & Holland belted magnum with Griffin & Howe slide-off scope mount, Leupold VX-2, NECG front and rear sights, and 21″ target crowned Douglas barrel (original owner shot out the factory barrel!).

Dad's 6x6 #bullelk taken at 575 yards with the old @winchesterrepeatingarms #pre64 #model70 chambered in Grandpa's favorite #264winmag . It features a 24" #douglasbarrels 8 twist, and shoots @barnesbullets #140grain #matchburners at 3100 FPS. The bull took two shots, I dont know if the second was needed, but we sure as hell weren't going to wait and see.
