Apparently there’s a #prednisonechallenge going around in the chronic illness community! • Prednisone saved my life and got me a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease, but it’s a hell of a drug you don’t want to wish on your worst enemy. Beyond the weight gain I experienced tremors, night sweats, insomnia, increasing fatty liver levels and was diagnosed with severe IBS as a product of long-term dependence to the drug. I dread even short-term stints with prednisone because of the awful cold sweats and general intolerance I have of it now. Make sure to check up on your friends on prednisone!
