I’m curious on how it’s considered gatekeeping for not telling people stuff when literally all you gotta do is just scroll through literally any social media platform atp and find lore that you want to know about lol. That’s not even mentioning the TikTok’s I’ve seen on my fyp of younger Ryan randomly without having to even search for them. You’re literally just asking them to make an effort to look up stuff on their own, instead of expecting others to tell them about whatever is it that you’re talking about, that’s it lol.
You can also tell when someone made an effort to look up something and someone who didn’t. The person who made an effort knows specifics of the situation, and is asking actual questions about the situation, the other person just expects someone else to put that effort in for them, and asks questions (or makes assumptions) that doesn’t even apply to the situation to begin with. You’re specifically talking about the people who don’t make an effort whatsoever. If it’s considered gatekeeping because you expected someone else to make the effort for you, then idk what to tell that anon lol. We live in an age where you can look up anything.
