Infuriatingly there is pregnanolone, and pregnenolone!!!!!!

I've been taking 25mg pregnenolone daily for... a while now. And it has successfully kept my worst PMS (PMDD) at a tolerable level. I rarely have full blown days lost to dysfunction.

HOWEVER. I am somewhat concerned that I'm negatively impacting my cholesterol. Pregnenolone is normally synthesized in the body from cholesterol, and I'm somewhat concerned i'm disrupting that cycle to my detriment, long-term. My doctor is no help here bc they aren't interested. I'd have to get in with an endo to hash this out and I'm just not in the mood!

Wiki says pregnenolone has poor bioavailability, but also immediately follows that with the impact on androgens specifically so mmm okay. curiously it DOES say it spikes allopregnanolone which several articles suggest may be responsible for pmdd? could be i'm just a fun paradoxical impact case. god forbid I have easy access to any type of hormone testing.
