Doing some Kora art for March (I'm doing five different ones), but I really wanna share this part of one of my quick preliminary sketches where I'm just putting down my idea to refine as I go. I'm very proud of this design, though I gotta refine things out.
That big hair bit in her face? That's what her hairpins help tame out of her face. And in case anyone wants to know what the image on her shirt is? A mandrake. As seen here:
No, she did not get these jammies from Idia. She got the floral pj pants on her own and the shirt was a gift from Ace.

Here’s a WIP sketch that I started a little while back. I’m planning on turning this into full digital illustration soon, so stay tuned ☺️

“Oil with brush on masonite, unsigned, this painting left in its early stages reveals Carl's working methods showing how he blocked in colors before the final layers were applied. Why this painting remained unfinished is not known.”
Other sketches part of a Western Theme that was left unfinished.

I was gathering materials in preparation for some projects next year and had rediscovered a few extra pleasant surprises along the way. Timing and circumstances permitting, I’ll be trying to get a few of these other pieces out into the world as well. Excited about the possibilities, and even more thrilled to see them realized. ✍️
Is this where I exclaim “Excelsior!”?
