More concept work for minor posthumous supporting characters, the ~GODKILLER SCYTHES~
Windviper "Vips" Songmorrow, a Dragum. Soul/Sound aura. The Songmorrow clan are mostly historians and artists, Vips is too impatient for that shit. He likes fightin. That is all I've got for this one so far. (dies nobly in battle)
Atrolyx Ond Jandiux, a Baphemille. Soul/Fire. The Baphemilles of the planet Lelucir have never had contact with alien life and are still in the asscrack of their medieval, intensely religious phase of cultural development. When Atrolyx was recruited to the Scythes it basically disproved everything he had ever been taught. He has rejected the false god of his people and now devotes his existence to the Death God Nagyarlak who rules the Scythes. He is really annoying about it, too. (lives)
Jaxelyn Kallisad, a Fefenian Bislari. Soul/Metal. The leader of their group and one of the Death God's personal favorite minions. Jaxelyn has been reincarnated over and over since the Scythes' formation, gaining magical strength every time. For literally billions of years, Jax has been a faithful soldier for Nagyarlak, but in this life he has begun to question his god's motives and methods. (murdered by atrolyx)
Preonionithel Haulonshee (Yaathriel are very touchy and precise about nicknames, the proper ettiquette would be to abbreviate his name to "Onithel" but only if you're a close friend, family, or his direct superior. The Godkillers call him "Preoni," because it sounds nice, despite his insistence that it's a massive faux pas and by Yaathriel law he would be justified in vomiting on their faces for calling him that) a Yaathriel. Soul/Dark. Noble Yaathriel take the form of mighty trees, while commoners are smaller and considerably less majestic. Preoni's true form is an herbaceous shrub. He tries to put on the proper facade of an aloof and superior Yaathriel, but amongst his own people he's at the bottom of the social hierarchy. He's a little embarrassed to be fraternizing with animal species, but other Yaathriel would be embarassed to fraternize with him. No big deal. (his humanoid body dies nobly in battle, his plant body is incinerated by atrolyx)
Necbec "Necca" Bekkanec, a Zefret. Soul/Matter. The Zefrets are a species of 90% women and 10% men, capable of parthenogenisis. Their culture doesn't have 'masculine' and 'feminine' identifiers the way humans do and traditional Zefret fashion is very practical and simplistic. Necca was only a child when the Zefrets were conquered and assimilated by the Zarlite Empire, which happens to be run by an absurdly frilly emperess. Raised amongst the Zarlite servant caste who are trained to be the emperess's eye candy as much as they are workers, Necca's fashion sense is...atypical of her kind. Very frou frou. Necca's Soul/Matter aura combo is incredibly rare and powerful, but nobody expects this fat pink skink woman to be capable of crushing entire armadas with her spells. (also dies nobly in battle)
