Been Sooo Busy.
So, this week has been crazy. ~~~schedule~~~ Aerobics, work, dance.
So, I have been taking two ballet classes a week. This will soon change to five. Ballet and pre-pointe at studio 1, pointe and ballet 1 and 2 at studio 2. Idk how i will afford all this but I’ll make away. (“Find away, make away!” Is the motto of my old community service club) I’m also taking Jazz at studio 1 and 2. Acro and lyrical at studio 1. Finally, I have also taken my first contemporary class last night. This has been a very strange, empowering and even confusing change. We danced to drums. We moved with flexed feet. We danced as if our bodies were being thrown. It was intense and freeing at the same time. I loved it and can’t wait for more. I think I have found my calling. I talked with my instructor today and she says I am ready for ballet 2. I am so excited and nervous. I really want to brush up on my terms every day. She also said that I am strong enough for pointe ( same as my old studio) so, now I am really looking forward to the fitting in my pre-point class. For now I will be taking the class in ballet slippers like at my old studio. I am ecstatic! I am sooooo ready! I have stretched soo much this week. Yoga had been in my routine as well as just stetching throughout the day and during aerobics and dance class. Welp, until next time!
Second day of classes
Last night I had three lessons. Acro was my favorite and my first. We worked terms and a lot of stretching. I even was able to do a headstand for a second, haha! We did tons of back stetches that were very much needed. In prepoint, we worked with our therabands and learned how to sew pointeshoe ribbons on our slippers. My final class was at another studio. My jazz lesson was a private lesson. She picked apart everything I did. Although it was a bit frustrating trying to get it perfect I had tons of fun. We worked on my pirouettes a bunch and a lot of ball changes and other stuff. It was fun, but hard.
Oh!
And my... 15....
year old cousin wants me to help her with ballet. She took it at an arts academy (Renaissance... I think), and is now back in the studio. She said she wants me to like tutor her I guess and help her choose the right level for her new studio. She's in pre pointe right now, and would like to also get en pointe, and figured I'd be the person to ask.
I'm really excited.
Not needed at rehearsal tonight.
Going to two pre-pointe classes instead.
It will be a painful night, but at least it's productive.
Every pre-pointe class brings me that much closer to being on pointe.
I just want to be a ballerina.
