We loved looking through your submissions for Issue 22’s Blue & Yellow print challenge - so many great ideas and prints for us to check out and choose from. This time around we’re asking for handmade prints using Black and Orange inks. We’re excited to see what you come up with using the two colours together - it should make for a fantastic showcase...! This is an open call to any printmakers who’d like to get involved – a chance to have your print featured as our winning artwork or as part of a showcase of brilliantly creative submissions in the July 2023 edition of Pressing Matters magazine. ––––––– So, what are the rules? - Create a handmade print using Black and Orange inks in a printmaking technique of your choice, printed on white paper. - Your overall print (paper size) must be at least A4 ––––––– How do you share your submission? - Post a clear image of your submission to your Instagram account, including the hashtag #pressingmattersinsert23 in the text of your post - PLUS also make sure you TAG THE IMAGE IN YOUR POST with @pressingmattersmag in your submission too (hashtags are increasingly unreliable - we’ll check both the hashtag and our tagged posts when judging) ––––––– The challenge will be live from today and throughout May and will end on the 31st May. Any posts tagged and added after this date will not be considered. In early June we’ll select our favourite submission as our winning artwork and we’ll also feature a selection of entries which also catch our eye to appear in Issue 23. If your artwork is selected, we’ll be in touch with you (via DM initially) to request hi-res artwork of your print, for inclusion in the magazine.
