If someone asks me my favorite book, I will answer with Les Miserables. (Well, actually I will answer with WAIT HOW CAN SOMEONE HAVE JUST ONE FAVORITE BOOK? I HAVE AT LEAST FOUR. But Les Miserables is one of them.) Les Miz just has so much goodness in it - adventure, romance, and freakingly awesome characters (Victor Hugo always writes the best antagonists imo!
