Trunk or Treat last Sunday was so fun! TIGERRS teens decided our trunk needed to be Minecraft themed and so it was! From the decorations to all the different themed treats and trinkets Minecraft was everything. Along with some trans and intersex shows of pride.

Big thanks to the TIGERRS crew members who helped create the magic of the day. And a big thanks to Calliope Women's Chorus for lending us some rainbow candy necklaces while we ran out to restock our bounty. 3,500 folks were estimated to be there by the TC Pride representative we spoke to at the food donation tables. So much food was donated and all of it was given to folks who needed it. Love community!

Last Sunday, 10/5, Teen TIGERRS met up online as they do on the 1st Sunday of the month from 12:30-3pm. We chatted, showed off some cool nature bits folks had like crystals. Shared our favorite stuffies, masks and introduced each other to our pets. Folks even got to help with add ins for a banana bread recipe and more!

This coming Sunday, 10/12 they’ll be meeting in-person, at a south Minneapolis community space, for our first Book/Movie Club. The idea is to read the book, if you want to and then join us to watch The Princess Bride while we make cardboard swords and other cardboard crafts.

10/26 OUTing: Both Teen & Little TIGERRS will meet up at Twin Cities Pride Trunk-or-Treat event in Loring Park (TIGERRS trunk will be Minecraft themed)

TIGERRS Picnic in the Park Sunday night was an amazing gathering of transgender, intersex and gender-expansive folks and a few allies in a wide range of ages. We brought pizza, banh mi, cake and na drinks and the community added a variety of yummy foods too. We were having so much fun chatting we forgot to take pictures until after half the people left!

Thanks to all who came out and created some great intergenerational community in the park!

TIGERRS crew members got to hang out at the Ethel Cain show Friday night at the Palace Theatre! They spread the word about our free resources and services for the transgender, intersex and gender-expansive communities.

TIGERRS was over at the Trans Equity Summit today sharing information about our free resources and services for the trans and intersex communities. One of our crew members did Gender Care Q&A as well. Great day for community! 💛💜💛🏳️‍⚧️

Happy Mondo Queer Beach Party Day! Thanks to all who came out to the beach for all the fun. Here's a fun short video of about half of the folks who came out and enjoyed some fabulous community.

Join TIGERRS for our next beach party on Sunday, August 24th, 1-5pm. Again at the small 50th Street Beach on Lake Nokomis off of Lake Nokomis Parkway and 5Oth St.

Previous Events Challenge

I. DEATH OF PARENTS: When Robert was two years old, both of his parents got ill and died. He doesn’t remember much about either of them, but he has used this tragic backstory to gain the sympathy of others. After this, he went to live with his elderly grandmother. She lived all alone, as all of her children had been long grown and gone. Her home was located in a remote part of the country and they rarely had visitors or ventured out. Robert was her main source of companionship as he was for her. ( I imagine that the two of them had a relationship not until Lucille/Buster from Arrested Development because these are all accurate depictions x, x, x. ) She was often stern, highly opinionated, and demanded that he follow her every instruction. It was because of her treatment of him that he developed into such an obsequious fellow. He also adopted a lot of her same opinions. She told him that women, as a rule, had nothing but air between their ears and that he was to marry one that was beautiful, as that would be all she would be good for (which has caused him to undervalue and underestimate every woman he’s ever met, his grandmother aside). 

II. PREVIOUS ENGAGEMENT: Robert was once engaged. He doesn’t like to talk about it, as the young lady left him at the altar. Robert was young and impatient to wed and asked the first young lady who gave him a smile. Robert only got as far as he had with her, because her family was facing financial ruin and while Robert wasn’t the wealthiest man, he would be able to keep a roof over their head. During their engagement, even Robert had a hard time convincing himself that she wanted to marry him, as it was clear at every turn that her parents had forced her to accept his hand. In the end, she decided she would rather doom her entire family to poverty than become Mrs. Robert Persimmons.  

III. DEATH OF HIS GRANDMOTHER/EMPLOYMENT: When he was near thirty years old, his grandmother passed away. Her estate passed to her eldest son, but Robert was left a small sum money in her will (but he will not have full access to it until he marries). And so it was her death that sent him out into the world in want of employment. His grandmother’s death also left a void in his life as he now had no one he needed to please and no one to tell him what to think. He’s spent several years working for various higher ups in His Majesty’s Most Honorable Aerial Brigade, but it wasn’t until he found a more permanent fixture as James Mallerton’s secretary that he felt comfortable again. Robert loves having someone to please and someone to instruct him, all while feeling he is climbing the social ladder.
