New Redwood Manor, Bedlington, Brindleton Bay Summer 1839
The New regencial home of the Redwood family had been completed, all the interior rooms were ready to be rebuilt. Due to the high temperatures of that year, the family party for the opening of Redwood Manor took place in the garden of the residence.
Despite the heat, Lady Evangeline and Madeleine were comfortable with their returned family, because they could not integrate into family gatherings so often: Madeleine for the distance and Evangeline for her rigorous mourning
The Redwoods hadn’t been together for so long that it was a good occasion for the younger members of the family to spend time together.
Suzette and Robert were 6 years old and had fun playing in the garden, young John Redwood and Adelaide Straud barely had a year old.
