|| █ ▌— it’s deeply unjust, satan thinks, upon catching sight of his brother. that it would be lucifer that he sees here, in this place ( so strange, so exciting and strange ) but he also allows, within his mind, that there’s a certain inevitability to seeing lucifer first. if all things are fated, then there’s a sort of humour in it, at least.
that doesn’t make it less irritating, of course, but satan clamps down on his irritation lest it fester into anger and approaches his brother. ❝ so, ❞ he begins, frowning. ❝ you, too, huh? is it driving you crazy, not being as powerful here as you are back home? ❞
