Analyzing an ongoing battle never grew any easier. Too many frames that blended in or new bodies that just happen to join the fight seemingly out of nowhere, but those past struggles grew easier upon choosing Earth for their endless war. The Autobot’s didn’t switch out, nor did his own faction, both sides struggling with lack of numbers. Continuing to observe individual brawls, the youngest seeker kept himself out of sight, his gaze flickering between Thundercracker’s overzealous bravado and the hypnotic flickering from a precious shard, once a part of the proud Allspark. Megatron made it clear to his men that the shard best be in Decepticon hands, and the leader’s unspoken threats of grievous harm still haunt Skywarp, causing the coward to hesitate.
What if he failed to take the shard? Would Lord Megatron tear his strained frame to pieces once again? His fears had doubled since the passing of Starscream, the bond between himself and Thundercracker strained and broken since their Trine fell apart once more. He spent fifty years looking desperately for his trine leader, fifty long years- wasted. It was one surprise to see Starscream in the company of Autobot’s, but that surprised morphed into pure horror when Thundercracker decided to fire at his own brother, and what for? Now their Trine wasn’t even that, it was a mockery, but to be out in battle, while still grieving for his fallen brother- his anger couldn’t be quenched, not when observing the Blue seeker’s arrogance. Through the shattered bond, Skywarp knew his elder brother held no regret.
Distracted by his own racing processor, the anxious seeker didn’t think twice about the fight between two jets, optics simply glossing over the battle, until he recalled that, the Autobot’s possessed no flier. Panic began to set in as his helm turned sharply to the side, silently taking note of his irritating brother locked in combat against... “Starscream?” No. No that couldn’t be right. He saw Star’s offlining with his own optics, there was no possible way for the Bots to save his brother. Unable to stay hidden, Skywarp landed, both pedes quietly tapping against the concrete ground. Their mission could wait, he needed answers, even if Thundercracker’s disapproving glare already began to break down his confidence. “Star...? I thought-... Thunder killed you. I-...” His spark ached, missing the link between himself and his eldest brother, which had been severed when Starscream had perished. Or so Warp had believed he had. Just seeing Starscream again, alive and well, was enough to soothe his grieving, withering spark. Mission be damned, his brother lived.
