I believe anxiety often stems from depending too much on your own strength…even if you think you’re already so weak. “I’m so weak” is actually your way of trying to protect your ego. “I’m so weak” wants you to believe you have no ounce of pride left. Oh but you do. You’re weak because you’re not trusting Him, you’re trusting yourself. As long as you’re struggling, you haven’t really surrendered every ounce. You haven’t really realized that your pride is the one killing you. But once you put that pride down through complete surrender, you see just how disobedient you were towards God in not trusting Him sooner. The feeling of being weak is the result of your disobedience. The more you’re into yourself, the less likely you are to let go and let God. STRUGGLING STOPS WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO SURRENDER. Like every second.
GOD HAS A VERSE FOR THIS. “…WHEN I AM WEAK THEN I AM STRONG” HE KNOWS WE ARE NOT PERFECT, BUT ONCE WE REMIND OURSELVES WE CAN GAIN STRENGTH IN HIM, THAT’S HOW WE BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND ALL OVER AGAIN HOW HE CAN TURN OUR SORROWS INTO JOY. LEARN TO LOVE YOUR DIFFICULTIES BECAUSE YOU KNOW IN THE END IT MAKES YOU STRONGER, WISER, AND MORE CONFIDENT. :)
2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Matthew 16:24-25 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
