Tawna Parker pulls a jar of pickles from the canner at Gratefull Gardens Farm outside McMinnville Tuesday, Aug. 15. Parker and her partner, Clay Renfro, first worked the land that now comprises Gratefull Gardens five years ago when they were working with World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms and the land was growing organic herbs and owned by Jackie Dole, who mentioned to the pair that she was looking to retire. Today, the farm grows a wide variety of produce alongside herbs and hosts more new farmers from the WWOOF program.
