@priestess-eclair Hitori continued in the jungle until he finds a strong river on the other side of some vegetation. He assumed that that river was connected to the waterfall back at the cottage, and was part of a series of connecting streams. Hitori thought about walking downstream in his pursuit for the chameleon, until he heard some leaves crunch behind him. As he turned quickly to face the beast, his eyes widened at the impact of the chameleon tackling him into the river. "Uwah!" Both Hitori and the reptilian beast were struggling against each other in the churning rapids of the jungle water. He moves his body to dodge the chameleon's claws, then launches his knee into its stomach. He couldn't breath. The chameleon had advantage under here, but he didn't think it could breathe under water. It was time to test that theory. The chameleon moved its jaws toward Hitori's neck, but instead of puncturing his skin. It found it's teeth had been blocked, by a set of shoulder plates made of crystal that Hitori grew on his body. He lets out a grunt as he punches it in the face, and grabs a hold of it tightly. "(Eat rocks!)" he said in his head as he slams the reptile against the bottom of the river, the strength of the current dragging it against the rocks on the bottom. After enduring being dragged across the river bed, the chameleon swings it's tail into Hitori, breaking the grip he had on it. Unfortunately, it couldn't breath underwater too long. It's claws dug into the ground and it slowly fount against the current to get to the surface and climb out. Hitori had to get out as well, if he didn't, it could find its way back to the cottage and kill Eclair and Momon. He brings his hands together and shattered the Crystal shoulder pads on his person to create emerald blades along his forearms. He followed the chameleons example of escape and scalped into the dirt, with one pull, he manages to break the surface and bring himself to land. "Hah...! Huff... huff.." Relief filled Hitori's lungs as he drew his breath. His clothes were dripping water as he stood up and saw the chameleon retreating again into the jungle. "Oh no you don't!" He dashes after it with tenacity and determination, slashing plants in his way with the emerald blades on his forearms. After he ran up a small rock formation, he jumps off the edge and tackles the chameleon, bringing it toppling to the ground. Hearing it yelp in surprise, Hitori knew that it was scared of him. And it should be. "You're gonna pay for hurting Eclair!!" Hitori said as his eyes glowed with a purple light. "Haaaa!" He digs his grip into the thing's skin and throws it through a dead tree. After seeing it get up again and go into camouflage mode, Hitori thought of a theory before he began hunting this thing. " If that thing is using magic from its creator to disappear, I can use my angel eye to see it. Time to end this." He could sense the thing prowling around him, but he had a chance. He puts his hands together, but instead of the emerald blades on his arms shattering, more grew out of his shoulders, his legs, his sides, etc. "ANGEL EYES" Hitori opened his eyes to show the pupil changing shape again and becoming purple. It was fuzzy, but he could see the fuzzy outline of the chameleon dashing straight at him for a killing blow. " Nice try!" Hitori surprises the reptilian monster by dashes straight at it. His movements were fast and precise as he spun around like swirling green petals. "EMERALD BLADE DANCE!" After colliding with the chameleon and sliding past it, the poor creature screeched in pain as multiple slashes appeared on its body. Then the darkness in it's eye vanished, and it toppled over, dead. "Finally..." Hitori stood up and looked at his kill, the emerald blades on his body shattering from being used in the attack. "Now, to get this back to Eclair and Momon. Those two must be starving." He said with a smile as he grabbed the prize by its scaly tail and dragged it back towards the cottage. After seeing the cottage in the distance, he smiles wide and decides to yell ahead. "Hey! Eclair! Momon! Guess who got us some food!"
