     he is LOST. not literally, not yet anyway, but metaphorically, spiritually. he knows not what he’s doing here, why he took up the offer to lead the circus once more when he is still in mourning. when he should be with children that needed him. but he’d been convinced by his family, both blood and circus. this is what he needed, a step back into something familiar. but there was no familiarity here. just the cold.

with the first person he sees, he holds out an arm, barring entrance to the tents. “ i’m sorry, ” he says, though he isn’t quite sorry. “ circus’ closed for today. ” it’s a spur of the moment decision he throws himself into, one he will surely regret when he sees the amount of money lost on such an excursion, but he simply can’t force himself to perform when he feels like death itself. “ show’s cancelled. ”

My Opinion on;

CHARACTER IN GENERAL: when i first got into phantom, carlotta was a character that, tbh, i didn’t really think about ? except for like “crack” posts in the phandom. primarily because she’s a “mean” character and i was definitely big into the “cinnamon rolls” like raoul and christine. but  …  man, as time goes on ? rewatching the 2004 film, i think minnie driver’s carlotta is the highlight of the entire film. she’s hilarious. i’ve grown an appreciation and sympathy for her. HOW THEY PLAY THEM: marvelously ! reading your ic content is like imaging minnie driver with a script acting it all out. THE MUN: i haven’t talked to you much ooc, but you seem like a wonderful, kind, and funny person from what i’ve seen on my dash !
