The event will be hosted at my temporary residence in Mile End, Montreal as an attempt to initiate a conversation about the architecture and sociocultural matters of formal gallery spaces. The artwork and dishes have been curated as part of a larger exploration of the borders and political sentiment in the Balkan region of Europe; a theme recurrent within my reflections and artistic contemplations. By combining edibles and visuals, I hope to emerse participants in an interactive reimagination of a place molded and transformed by migration, conflict, and movement, highly indentifiable within the regions national dishes.” - Patrick Peljhan
