Loaded in Stryn. Heading out on a kayaking adventure with @tfbergen on a beautiful summers day. #prijonkayaks https://www.instagram.com/p/CNmVWr1AO6E/?igshid=f0pwtamdw5ju
Sunday’s pre-Covid looked a little different. Winter kayaking in the Arctic Circle is magical, but it also requires the upmost respect. I’ve learnt to be over cautious, but even so I was caught out a few times. It’s often the little things, like forgetting an extra pair of Pogies (Kayaking Mitts) and getting the first set wet. The time it takes to warm them up between your legs is enough for your hands to be in agony. Also, like so many things, once part of your body is already frozen it’s far harder to get it back to temperature. In water this cold rescues ( whether that’s self rescue or assisting ) require absolute precision. It’s scary how quickly the adrenalin wears off and the cold hits you. #prijonkayaks https://www.instagram.com/p/CK_QysHAtz4/?igshid=xmv9jar1lf82
Night & day kayaking. Quite often conditions late in the evening were the very best. Water like glass and incredible light. Feels like a dream now! #prijonkayaks https://www.instagram.com/p/CLbdx_CgSzd/?igshid=xkqsa2ue3l4s

There was something both magical and unnerving approaching a huge glacier late evening with @tfbergen . As you get closer you realise that the glacier is alive, moving, creaking, cracking, forever changing. You get the feeling it’s just waiting for someone to get just a little too close. It’s both extremely exciting and scary. Once again, huge thank you to the incredible Tomasz for being my guide and ensuring these waters were navigated safely. #prijonkayaks https://www.instagram.com/p/CK3aIVKAa-8/?igshid=j2stynlbuc4y
Kayaking with good friends in 2018. ‘I can’t recall...the sound of water, nor the touch of grass’ - Frodo...../the world since Covid 😂. I’m rather looking forward to communicating with humans in person again. #prijonkayaks https://www.instagram.com/p/CL1TO0fgqSY/?igshid=12m81f79m7ve
A truly magical kayak in the snow. I will add that it was absolutely freezing and I lost all feeling in my hands & feet....but that’s what you get for jumping in waist height arctic water for a laugh. Absolutely blown away by the performance of the @gearlaboutdoors Kalleq ( I’ll share some detailed shots of the paddle soon ) & of course my trusty @prijongmbh Millennium kayak 🙌🏻. #prijonkayaks #gearlabpaddles (at Lofoten) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9bkgIvAYU3/?igshid=1ca19oh1zumhs
