Day 10 - Florence
It was short ride from Venice to Florence. While it was easy to find the hostel, carrying the backpack everywhere is seriously tiring. It’s not like i bought a lot more stuff but carrying them all the time is really heavy man. Got quite scared of David, the elderly artist cos he got super touchy after a while. However, it was interesting to be riding on the back of his bike and feeling so free. :) I guess, future life partner move! Jesus take note :)
Wicked
Watched Wicked on Monday (14.03.2016) night and got such a good seat at such a good price. Feel like defying gravity is such a song of my moment.
Something has changed within me Something is not the same I'm through with playing by the rules Of someone else's game Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep It's time to trust my instincts Close my eyes and leap!
It's time to try Defying gravity I think I'll try Defying gravity And you can't pull me down!
I'm through accepting limits'cause someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!Too long I've been afraid ofLosing love I guess I've lostWell, if that's loveIt comes at much too high a cost!I'd sooner buyDefying gravityKiss me goodbyeI'm defying gravityAnd you can't pull me down
Day 1 - Prague
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Can hardly believe I actually bought tickets to travel around Europe, staying in hostels. Booked all of this only yesterday (15 March 2016), and today I’m in another country. #yolo
This blog will be used as a space to document my thoughts, feelings, experiences every day so I shall never forget this experience.
Brussels Air/Heathrow airport was rather surprising in terms of delayed flights and for showing gate timings. Only 10-20min before departure time did the board flash out the gate.
On a side note, I’m in Prague now and Sir Toby’s hostel is seriously amazing. Clean, unique and thoughtful. RAIN SHOWER FTW. Bring locks in future though. Also, from the amount of fear I had before getting to the hostel, I'm so surprised that it really was not difficult at all to travel on public transport 32czk (€1.50?) for 90 min journey time from the airport! Couldn't understand the language and all but there was this really nice Czech lady who helped me with where I should stop. They're really nice and friendly actually, despite the moody default face.
There was so much second guessing, double thinking, wondering and wandering. When you're alone, it's really scarier, as with most things but, maybe this season is to get used to this and do it anyway, learn how to handle the fear in the most effective way possible and achieve your end goal. What would my end goal be...
