(( Not only have I known about them all of my life, but I’ve visited one of their old houses before! I live around Vanderbilt University too, so I constantly encounter the name and have taken pictures of it before pretty much for the sole purpose of joking about Miranda. Hell, “Vanderbilt” trends all the time on my Twitter for that reason, so I tend to screencap that over and over to laugh about people having good taste in ROs.

So - yep! I immediately got the reference when I first saw Miranda’s name!

He’s... far too chill. As if he knew that anything they - or anyone, really - would do if they got their hands on 963, worst case scenario he’ll have to come back in a few days, missing his favorite show. Best case he “accidentally” ends up stealing some cool alien’s body. 

Not exactly what he’d call a win-win situation, but close enough.

"You look like you could use some help." Quartz noted nonchalantly, watching Zinnia struggling against the Rainbow Rocket goons.

"Quaaartz! Good to see ya!" Zinnia just finished using Dragon Claw on some more grunts and Zubat. Rayquaza was using Dragon Ascent on a Shadow Crobat. "Ya wanna help out a bit. There's so many more of these guys than I was expecting. Heh."

Lacey looked off in the distance at the two. Teleporting Quartz here was a good idea, at least to help Zinnia some more. She'll just have to remember to teleport her out when she makes her final move.

Quartz just casually forces Zinnia to stand up straight. "You'll wreck your back standing like that."

"H--hey! Who the hec--"

Zinnia looked behind her before seeing Quartz. She immediately changed her tone.

"But that's my battle stance though-- Girl's gotta get into the groove when her and her buddy training, y'know?"

"[????]" Shouuuld... she say something? For some reason, Altaria has the feeling that she shouldn't say anything about this.

Yeah she's just going to... sit back and chill.

May did not regret coming to Alola. Not for a single second. With the gorgeous weather and temperate climate similar to Hoenn, this place almost felt like a second home.

Plus, the Pokemon! She had never seen Pokemon like this before, and she was loving every minute of it! The fact that her team was getting some good battles in only added to her excitement.

She really ought to look into getting a vacation home here, she mused, stretching out on the beach, feeling the sun kiss her skin.

From her spot next to May, Firelight let out a low growl, and May opened her eyes, feeling them widen when she saw the shadow loom over her.

Was it a pokemon...? she wondered as she grabbed her Pokedex and pointed it at the creature.

Next to her, Firelight let out another low growl of warning.
