Short bouts of cardio, like sprints or INSANITY, every few days, as opposed to every day for 45+ minutes. Chronic cardio is more bad than good. Ideally, choose exercises that recruit as many muscle groups as possible, and in a variety of ranges of motion. This is what I call primal, free-body exercises. Turn it on! The post-workout feeling is worth the little discomfort you might experience during. And remember, your body is meant to sweat and to operate at a high level of output (cardio-respiratory)!
