Took me an age and a half but finally here are all my Primarch kid designs!

In my idea since they’re all warp-born they have abilities that (most) of their fathers don’t have

How did she get her third eye? Idk warp saw Magnus lose his and was like “damn okay here’s an extra for the kid. Don’t lose it.”

And he’s done!! Here is Samael’s full body design! There will be updated lore and more art beneath the cut

So here is where we start what I’m calling the official story for Samael and his cousins:

For origin recap, Samael is still the splice clone of Sanguinius. A druhkari scientist attempted to create a weapon using Sanguinius’ DNA and Eldar DNA, but Sanguinius and the blood angels discover the plot and mount a counter attack. Sanguinius decides to keep and raise Samael as his own.

Here’s the update:

Samael is 9 years old when his father dies. The psychic backlash that causes the black rage in the rest of the chapter nearly kills him, and it’s only the quick thinking of a nearby brother that saves his life.

Samael is placed in medical stasis in a secure location until further notice, but as the events of the heresy unfold the few who were entrusted to know his location were lost.

Around this time the future of the imperium was looking bleak and it was decided that the children of the primarchs would be placed in stasis to ensure there was somewhere to restart from if needed.

The children of the traitors are collected later or put into stasis after running away in certain circumstances.

It’s not until M41 that Samael’s medical stasis pod is discovered by a group of blood angels and returned to the imperial palace to rest alongside his cousins.

In M42 a custode, Shield-Captain Almorgrah, receives a dream of her and a team of custodes raising the children to become the next leaders of the imperium.

After lengthy deliberation the title of Warden-Mother was revealed by the emperor himself and the duty was cemented in His will.

Samael was the first child to be awoken from stasis.

Though his reintegration was not without its issues.

Much of Samael’s early childhood was brutal under the tutelage and care of Mother-Warden Almorgrah. Compared to the loving relationship he’d had with his father, this new guardian pushed him to extremes and offered no affection.

In later years, and with subsequent experiences with the other children, the warden-mothers learn affection as closely as a custodes can.

But Samael will forever carry the brunt of the early training and expectations placed upon him.

Introducing: Mother-Warden Almorgrah

Almorgrah is the main protector of Samael and his cousins, and is primarily responsible for their raising into leaders and heirs to the empire.

Stoic and blunt, Almorgrah is a ruthless parental figure for the children but their relationship is not without love. As rocky as their start was in adulthood there is much reconciliation between them all, an important development given chaos is never far behind.
