separate but equally terrible nightmares (cedric/cho/harry)
a/n: i’m doing a monologue for my acting class (over zoom lol) and the title of this fic is a line from my monologue!! some angsty fluff, fluffy angst, whatever you wanna call it. i usually don’t write on here as i have my own fanfic accounts but this didn’t feel like something i wanted to post there, so i guess you guys can have it, lol. i hope you guys enjoy!! if you do, i’d love to know, maybe i’ll write more for this ship and post it here.
Even while dreaming, things manage to go wrong for Harry.
Suddenly, doused in sleep, he becomes fourteen again, terrified and stomach turning as the tournament should be ending, but instead, he stands in a graveyard, one hand still on the cup, the other interlocked with someone else’s fingers.
He hears the shrill, weak voice cry the three words that have haunted him for years: “Kill the spare!”
He dreams of cold, lifeless skin and ghostly apparitions begging him to bring the body back. Usually, the dreams are soaked with truth—Cedric's hazel eyes stare blankly, his deep voice rings out and chills him to the bone.
Sometimes, the spare is someone else. Long black hair and warm skin, her lips parted in a final cry. Harry has no idea why she’s even here, she wasn’t a part of this, why is Cho here? But he supposes that dreams rarely bother with logic.
The worst dreams are when it’s the two of them, not always in that graveyard, but on stretchers in the great hall among the other fallen soldiers of a war that they did not sign up to fight in.
omg #2 w/ cedric cho harry?
not accepting these drabble prompts anymore!!
2. “Are you – oh my god, you are.”
Cho prided herself in discovering the little things.
The freckle on Cedric’s back, or the little scar on the back of Harry’s neck from his aunt trying to shave his uncontrollable hair. Well, wasn’t that what being a Seeker was all about? Finding the little things.
However, this fact didn’t seem so little to her.
“Are you – oh my god, you are.”
“I’m what?” Harry asked, cheeks flushing.
ok so
yeah
I love this ship a lot and they’re cute okay
Can’t get over the idea of Harry, Cedric, and Cho being friends in GoF. Harry asks Cho to the ball and though she still goes with Cedric she feels a bit bad and ends up asking Harry to dance with her and Ced. Harry feels a bit awkward at first, but goes anyway and the three of them end up having a great time together and becoming tentative friends. Even though Harry still has a crush on Cho, he values this new relationship more and gets to know them both. They all going to hogsmeade together, Rita skeeter is going crazy with speculations on the two Hogwarts champions and Cho’s friendship and so are the rest of hogwarts but none of them care, they’re having too much fun. He ends up with crushes on the both of them, but doesn’t say anything, embarrassed and confused with himself. Everything is kind of shit, with Ron and Hermione’s bickering over Viktor, The tournament, and someone trying to kill him, but he’s happy with them.
Then the maze happens and everything falls apart. Harry and Cho are depressed, Harry blames himself. They end up sort of clinging to each other, Cho sharing all the plans she had made with Cedric, Harry confessing his own feelings and his silly dreams of a future. A bit desperately Harry and Cho end up giving a relationship a go, but it’s just /wrong/ without Cedric. Eventually, even their friendship starts to drift, sure because of outward circumstances, but mostly because it’s /just not the same without Cedric./
