Today is the first day of school in Romania. My grandma got flowers from Tanti Cica a neighbor whose daughter received 25 bouquets of flowers from the children who just started 1st grade. It's a tradition in Romania in the elementary schools for children to give flowers to their teachers when school starts. Today around 3 million children started school in Romania, a country with about 19 million population.
