how many vertical stripes are temple pillars' rings connected by? and would there be a specific variant caused by breeding with a primitive eevee?
The number of stripes varies! it can be as many as you want!Id reccomend between 4-8The variant caused by breeding with a primitive eevee is reffered to as a “Relic”And I have some rough designs for them here!(we couldnt choose which flareon looked better: @ask-eeveeons)
I was trying to draw new primal designs and ended up making an entirely new color-variation...
These variations appeared in captive populations of primals, particularly those who had been breeding only within their same type for several generations. (Such as vaporeon+vaporeon and Sylveon+Sylveon). I nicknamed them “Elemental Primitives” but each type has its own name.
Breeding elemental primitives with normal ones still counts as being purebred. If both parents are of the same type their offspring has a 50% chance of having elemental markings. However Eevees of this breed look completely normal, so its impossible to tell if they’ll have the elemental markings before evolution.
Ocean Vaporeon. It has larger fins than a normal primitive Vaporeon, including sometimes a shark-like fin on its back. Its coloring resembles bubbles and water droplets.
Lighting Jolteon: Covered in lightning marks. Helios belongs in this variety.
Inferno Flareon: All primitive Flareons have flame-markings in their manes and tails, Inferno Flareons have these on their face and body as well.
Magic Espeon: Covered in gradient purple markings. They have two tails and slit eyes.
Soaring Cinereon: While the very first primitive Cinereon was incapable of flight, soaring Cinereons have larger ears, and thus are capable of gliding further distances. Their markings resemble feathers (although they still have fur).
Nightsky Umbreon: Instead of multiple circles on its body, the Nightsky Umbreon only has a crescent moon on its forehead. Its ears, feet and tail are covered in star-shapes with a purple hue. The rest of its body is also dark blue, rather than black.
Blizzard Glaceon: Its brightest parts are covered in white gradients and it has snowflake-markings covering its body.
Fairytale Sylveon: The ribbons more resemble butterflies, as does their ears.
Forest Leafeon: Covered in even more moss and leaves than normal. The fur on its head is made of grass.
Drawing some babies I might end up using in the blog later.
The striped one is a pillar eevee, adopted by @ask-eeveemansion (their art is on the top left corner.) I drew slightly less stripes on the feet because I’m not sure I would be willing to draw that many stripes on a regular basis XD
The other is just a regular ol primal Eevee.
Feel free to suggest names, they should be planet-related?
(Motya to Lemons) "Goodness, you look pretty fired up don't you? Haha.. jokes aside I can't help but wonder about your fur. Has it always been so.. "representative" of your typing? I mean, it looks exactly like fire! Do you think that if you had evolved into anything else your fur would have looked like that element?"
Arnold: Lemons is uh…. a pygmy primitive flareon… if he didnt uh..have those markings..he wouldnt be fit for contests…or the breed standard… uh….we all have different markings depending on species….we uh.. have a catalogue here
Primitive Eevee information
Because I wanted to write down a more comprehensive info sheet somewhere. This is all written as an in-universe description of the breed. Again much of their appearance is based of the original Red/Green sprites (particularly Vaporeon’s and Eevee’s) but any of the new ones (whom I haven’t finished redrawing yet but they’re coming) are pretty much entirely made up by me.
Includes new pictures and slight redesign on a few of them.
