alright gang! its officially time, the long awaited...feverishly requested...prince josuke....2!
Hi! I just wanted to say that I love this blog! And idk why can I get some fairytale head cannons for Jonathan, Joseph, jotaro, and josuke?
-Oh why thank you ^w^, I did do a little research prior to this cause I was having trouble with Jotaro, but I think I got it now! JONATHAN•He’s that classic knight in shining armor trope. He’s a downright gentleman and it holds true throughout both the anime and the manga. •Although he isn’t the prince who is meant to marry the princess, he’s definitely the type of guy who would come to the rescue because it’s his duty to protect anybody. While it’s not only the damsel in distress, he would surely find love through that moment. •He is very chivalrous as well, even going so far as fighting Dio to protect or aide in Erina’s honor. This is the example that came to mind, plus the first episode where he tries to kick ass and fails because he wants to protect those who can’t protect themselves. This is what I looked at in determining the knight in shining armor trope. JOSEPH•He most definitely speaks to me as the trickster protagonist kinda guy. He’s always seen and described as a trickster by all, and it’s no surprised that he is that here. Imagine Flynn Rider from Tangled. That’s pretty much Joseph. •Although he has a lot of money, his morals seem to be a skewed. It’s almost as if he does good things in order for a reward to come through. Not necessarily because it is the right thing to do, but his image would be tampered with if he didn’t save that woman from the villains hands. •Throughout his own story though he has shown improvement. Going from a stubborn prick to a strategic prick, he made the changes that a typical trickster does within fairytales. Or at least Disney fairytales. •Examples that came to mind was the hell tower episode, and his first episode. Comparing the two he did end up improving his overall personality and emotions. JOTARO•This was a tough one, because he isn’t really any normal fairytale archetype. Though he is a strong and silent man, I ended up marking him as the outcast trickster. •The outcast trickster is explained as someone who returns from a journey or quest and has lost their purpose. Example that’s mentioned within the definition is a man returning from war and is unable to fit in with society again. •Jotaro seems to fit this best out of any other trope because it seemed throughout his journey to Cairo he lost his way and learned more than he wanted to. He came back home a different man and will never revert. Although it seemed like he’s generally the same with his mom and people around him, there are subtle actions throughout the anime that change him. •Also, once he enters into part 4, it’s obvious how much his Egypt journey had changed him. Examples pulled were episode 2 of SDC, and the rat episode in part 4. Also included is just many examples that I can’t pinpoint where they quote came from at the moment. JOSUKE•I’ve actually sorta done a fairytale headcanon for him before, but he’s definitely the prince type!•Prince Josuke would do anything and go completely out of his way in order to save his princess! That is what true love is all about, and nothing can stop him from achieving true love. •He will help others along his quest, but the overall goal is to save his future wife/queen. Puts them on a pedestal and wholeheartedly loves them even though they might’ve never met before. •Example pulled is simply his overall motives and personality.
