ah
now I feel bliss

Adding Princely Things to Your Life
It has been a hot minute since this prince took the time to craft one of these posts. Apologies. This past year has been... difficult.
So onto some brand new DIY things!
1. Drape Fabric All Over The Place
When you’re able to, scour the usual places for curtains, sheets and draperies. Castles were drafty and one way to conserve heat was to cover the walls. It also dampens sound so if your place has rather thin walls, ripples of fabric will absorb sound waves. This is especially true if you score inexpensive blankets, comforters and quilted coverings, hang those and then conceal with nicer curtains.
2. Add Lights Everywhere
Nothing makes a room feel more like it’s out of time than a bunch of candles. Worried about open flames? These days battery operated candles as just as inexpensive and do the ‘’flicker flame’’ thing. Finding strings of decorative lights year round also isn’t difficult, for a more fantasy-like experience.
3. Get More Pillows
Toss them on the floor. Make some to practice sewing skills. Pile them on a bed. Make your sofa comfier. When purchasing pillows from a secondary source (like a thrift store) always spray with some deodorizing disinfectant, leave for a bit in plastic bags and then tumble in a drier to kill anything that might be unsanitary. An old school way to do the same is leave them out in bright sunshine for a day, turning them over. Sunlight can kill bacteria with UV radiation. You can do the same to “freshen up” anything you might have had for a while.
