‘Heights,’ of course, referred to literal heights. Chiaki’s booming voice called down from the top of a tree he had somehow managed to scale through a series of questionable leaps and jumps that had nearly resulted in his subsequent descent to the ground. Luckily enough, he had managed to come this far without any unfortunate accidents.
“Never fear, for a-- WAH!“
But that luck would quickly end. Even before he had moved to pull his grand finale stunt, Chiaki’s foot lost its holding, and he found himself tumbling down to the ground below with a loud THUD.
“Oof, ow...Ah..hahaha. This is fine! A hero can push past any pain!“
It was amazing how quickly he could recover and once again resume loudly announcing himself even after landing on his back and knocking the wind from his lungs.
