Lotor — but only if she’s not really interested in eating them.

I want to say Lotor, but I could see it being both of them at the same time? They come dangerously close to actually kissing by accident and then brush it off and pretend it didn’t happen.

who has to bust or bail the other out of jail:

Allura. Lotor seems more likely to end up captured or in jail, let’s be real.

who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues:

Both! The issues they each run into are probably things the other can help with?

who shamelessly cheats at games by reaching over to cover the other’s eyes:

Allura. (Lotor only does it in retaliation.)

who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk:

They both call dibs and must face off to determine who gets it!

who starts and who wins the pillow fights:

Allura. Lotor is terribly confused by the ambush but once he understands the premise he gets very into it. I think they would destroy all the pillows before a victor was determined, though.

who says “your pants would look better on their floor” to the other’s potential crush:

Lotor. Definitely Lotor.

Yes, something had changed in the princess’ feelings towards him. Yet, what brought it on was beyond his comprehension. His refusal at fighting against the Galra Empire was met with disappointed but nothing more. So, it can’t be stemming from that....

Blinking a few times as she was a bit confused, Allura looked down to see the simple yet elegant hair accessory she had seen on their recent trips to the local space mall. She had stopped in front of the window where she saw it for just a few ticks before following the others to get what they needed. But, how did he remember?

Feeling her cheeks heat up, she glanced up from the accessory and focused her gaze on Keith as she nodded her head. “Keith, how did you get this?”

“I noticed you checking it out a few weeks ago when we were at the space mall. They’re actually made in the V’akar quadrant from a metal you can only find there. I walked past a merchant that sold them while I was on mission there yesterday, so I grabbed one.” 

He’d caught a glimpse of her lingering looks when they’d walked past that dusty trinket shop and recognized the hair brooch as something she wanted. Her hesitance, however, was starting to make him feel like he’d made the wrong call. 

“I, uh... I can return it if you don’t want it,” he offered, the color quickly rising in his face. The last thing he wanted was to make her uncomfortable.

Whatever Allura had drank at the celebration for a planet they helped become free of the Galra, definitely had her feeling some type of way. Laughing at what everyone said (literally laughed at everything), the princess was certainly…drunk.

Her cheeks were tinted with a dark blush as her bright blue eyes seemed a bit glossy and a goofy smile on her face. The Altean tried her best to keep her posture but tripped on air, bumping into Keith. “Oh, apologies. I did not see you…there,”

Allura met his gaze as she slowly stood up and for some reason she gently grabbed either side of his face, closed her eyes, and pressed her lips against his own.

To see the princess like this was... unusual at the very least.

Keith had been keeping a watchful eye on Allura for the majority of the celebration, counting her drinks of that strange pink bubbly liquid that she had taken a shining to. Quiznak, that’s one too many, came the low swear as he watched her wobble across the ballroom in his direction. He aimed for an interception, easily catching her when she literally stumbled into his arms.

“It’s fine, princess, though I think you’re cut off—” the words died in his throat as his eyes met hers and he swallowed. Alarm bells suddenly screeched inside his head as her hands gently cupped his quickly reddening face. 

“W-wait a minute...!” he choked out but before he could do anything, her lips were on his and they were kissing.

Keith suddenly forgot how to breathe, too startled by the sudden action to do anything but freeze. Allura’s lips were soft and warm, and Keith’s mind was reeling as the blood roared in his ears. His sense of duty as the black paladin screamed that this was wrong, that she was drunk and she would never do this otherwise, even if a tiny part of him still hoped...

No, I can’t...

His hands found Allura’s shoulders and he gently pushed her away, mouth slack and panting. A ruddy color painted his cheeks as he watched the princess with wide, searching eyes. “You didn’t mean to do that. Let’s get you some water.”
