Known for: Also known as Princess Nobuko, she is a member of the Japanese imperial family & the widow of Prince Tomohito of Mikasa. Being a descendant of the Ichinomiya clan & descendant of the samurai Ōkubo Toshimichi, she grew up in a family of power, with many of her loved ones being prime ministers. She studied in England, taught English at a kindergarten, & eventually married her husband who was a fellow English student when she studied abroad. They had two daughters, Princess Akiko & Princess Yōko. As a princess, she is responsible for many welfare organizations & charity events, & often accompanied her late husband during such events. She is also responsible for keeping good relations with other countries & nations. Apart from politics, she is also a talented chef, & even published two cookbooks.
Evidence of Faith: According to the website Unofficial Royalty, the article about Princess Nobuko directly states that she was born in a Roman Catholic family, & was one of the first in the royal family to be baptized in the Roman Catholic church. They also state that growing up, she attended Sacred Heart School, a Roman Catholic school for girls in Tokyo.
