Christmas Surprises || Elsa and Anna
Another beautiful Christmas in Arendelle, Elsa thought as she stood by the window of her study. It was surprising to see the white powdery snow on the ground, because after the last year's string of occurrences Elsa had been worried she had upset some kind of balance...again...
It'd been almost a year since Elsa reconnected with the winter spirit known as Jack Frost. In that time the spirit of winter had given up his claim to his magic, his humanity had been restored and in that short span of time he and Elsa were tied to each other forever, for better or worse. Elsa was certain that when Jack gave up his powers to become Jackson Overland once more that it would disturb the balance of nature and winter might never come, but sure as the sun set in the west it came.
It'd been almost two years since the Great Thaw, and since Anna and Kristoff had been married. Now that the queen was married too this would be the first Christmas spent as a large family. This was new...
For as long as Elsa could remember holidays for the two sisters after they were separated were very small and intimate. Not many guests and only the royal family. However after the Great Thaw, Christmas became a big ordeal and now instead of a family of three, there'd be four and quite possibly more...
Elsa glanced down at her stomach and let out a small sigh. For the past few months she'd been feeling a little under the weather, and she'd been doing her best to conceal that, but finally Brunhilde, her old governess had caught on. The old woman claimed that Elsa was with child, but the young queen refused to believe it, it was just a small cold, nothing big...right?
But Elsa had just finished seeing the royal physician and the doctor had confirmed that Brunhilde's assumptions were true. She had paid him to remain silent because the news was still hard to accept. She was to be a mother...
Part of her was overjoyed and she wanted to tell her husband, and of course Anna, but as always her mind was faster than her mouth and actions, and worry consumed her. The young queen took a deep breath and shook her head some. For now she should focus on the Christmas activities she'd deal with giving the family the news later.
She turned on her heel and began to head out of the study flinging the door open and then CRASH!!
Elsa had run someone over taking them down with her, "Oh..I'm so so sorry....I wasn't looking where I was-" she said as she sat up and blinked a few times. "Anna?" Elsa said her blue eyes open in a little shock. "but I thought you and Kristoff were off to see the trolls." she said as she sat up some. "When did you get back?" she asked her sister.
