Spring was in full bloom at Valentina Castle, and the warm weather had helped to turn the gardens into a brilliant array of vibrant colours and smells. To celebrate the new occasion, Viktor had arranged for a garden party for the staff and castle guests to enjoy, complete with an array of sweets and teas brought in from around Candoris. The grounds were bursting with activity, as servants replenished the platters and nobles danced to upbeat tunes played by the musicians.
Viktor spotted one of the foreign royals milling about, and as he saw what looked to be his advisors with and armful of documents, he quickly made his way through the crown towards her. “Ah, Princess Amalia, please forgive me a moment. Would you care for a walk in the gardens?” He held a finger to his lips, a smile growing behind it. “It seems as though I’m a fugitive in need of hiding today, if it’s not trouble.”
