He wasn't doing this for himself, no far from it. Basically he had nothing to do with the girl in front of him, lying on the pavement like a pretty doll. Pretty, but lifeless. But he couldn't watch how she died without him trying to do something, despite of the fact that his own blood was seeping out of the cut on his thigh, colouring the grey ground in a muddy kind of red.

Not like he noticed as he leaned over the blonde girl, petite and not breathing, listening for any sound of life. She didn't breath, no heartbeat sounded through her small body and seeing as there were enough on the street that would need help, he should have let her be.

She was young though, too young to die in his opinion so he pinched her nose shut and placed his mouth over hers, breathing into her until her lungs were filled and the rip cage rising. One, two, three, four, five times did he push on her chest, the faint sound of a rip cracking not stopping from doing it again. And again. Minutes.

And nearly did he lose hope when she wasn't responding to him, until he pushed her heart harder and she breathed in. The gasp being the most beautiful sound on this horrible day in which the words "Mass Crash" got a new meaning.
