Ghirahim looks up to anyone he deems to be a superior. Demise is default in this regard. He can however come to respect anyone he deems as on the same level or above in superiority. He views Zant, Link and Ganondorf both as equals or superiors.

Zant because he is a former King who was able to steal the throne out from underneath the princess of their people. Link because he has been able to actually defeat him when crossing swords, and Ganondorf because he maintains an aura similar to Demise as he is more than likely his master reincarnated.
