Oh, so that's why the halo's broken
I imagined myself as something divine
For now just two pairs of wings
Because a normal one didn't feel right
That I could lose pieces of it
Like my divinity was conditional,
It's because of my imperfection
It's because of all the mistakes I make
Everyone I've inadvertently hurt
This angel is no longer perfect
Its wings cannot carry her to where she once flew
Flickering like a dying lamp
Falling to pieces as she tries to hold herself together
The princess putting on a brave face
So her subjects don't worry
The unconventional knight
Surrounded by phantoms of her past
The child who refuses to admit it
Yet who continues to fight her growing up
And the angel refuses to admit she fell
