3D print from this spring
Reorganization of the 3d printers corner in the makerlab.
Printerbot and plugs moved to the outside of the shelf, updates on the pinterbot charger and ultimaker heatedbed psu and finally labelled the plugs ;)
There’s now allot less cables laying around and more usable space inside the shelf now.
I bought a Printrbot 2014 3D printer kit and now I can't wait to print something. The assembly of this printer has taken about 10+ hours, but the biggest pay off is that now I understand the innerworkings of how 3D printers operate. And just to let you know, it's actually not as complex as I thought it would be. Maybe somewhere in my future I can rebuild this printer from parts I've printed myself.
As for now, I need to finish installing Pronterface, Slic3r and all of the other supportive software before the real fun begins.
My daughter had some Anne of Green Gables paper dolls. To stand them up there is a tab at the bottom that folds back to form a stand. As you can imagine this was pretty flimsy and was pretty useless after a while.
I decided to make some small plastic ones on the 3D printer. I came up with my Paper Doll Stand and put it up on Thingiverse.
It is pretty pathetic compared to what is on Thingiverse, but I could not find another paper doll stand on there. I figure someone will see mine and decide to make a way nicer one. That way I can still benefit.
Not a paperbike but this sure is a nice little model. A 3d printer would be perfect for developing new paperbike prototypes.
