A simple abstract print meant to resemble a bridge with vegetation growing over it
I saw someone else on Instagram gelli print with gold leaf and decided to try it myself here. it worked surprisingly well!
Another forest inspired print. Much better than my first one, but could be improved
This is my favorite print so far. it is a railroad with trees growing alongside it.
I have missed posting for the last few days, but here are all the printing projects I've done for Printinktober.
First picture was intended to be an abandoned city, but I ended up doing a cool abstract instead. I think it turned out way better than my first print this month.
Second is a full moon. I ended up using this as a background for a currently page in my monthly journal.
Third and fourth images are gelli printed papers that i am going to be cutting into leaf shapes. These will be sitting in my living room with a sharpie marker and some tape so people can write things on them and tape them to the tree shown in the fifth image. That tree i made from a series of gelli printed papers.
Printinktober day 1
Today I decided to do a few layers of gelli printing using block printing ink. Started with a gradient background using green and yellow ink. Then, I used a spork and brown ink to make the trees. The ground was made by printing with some watercolor crayon and printing a layer of green ink over top once it dried.
I've recently gotten into printmaking so I'm going to try doing Printinktober this year! Wish me luck!
I will try to post a print each day of October on here, but I never successfully posted anything until now, so I will not make any promises.
