ZINE project

On the 1st of October, we got a Zine brief explaining that we should do research in the library about Journals (print only), more precisely about magazine Adbusters. I found this magazine really interesting, it tickles your mind and makes you think critically about things that you don’t want to think about. It illustrates the world’s biggest problems in a funny and authentic way.

These are a few excerpts from the magazine that we found interesting and inspiring:

We gathered a lot of information reading the magazines and we made our own zine inspired by Adbusters answering the following questions:

What is the resource you are using?

How was your experience of accessing this particular resource? Review.

What was the artefact or item your team found like? Review.

How might this resource be used by a Vis Com student in their work?

Who is in your group? (Represent the team),

What is the title of your zine?

I liked this exercise because I learned a lot about AUB library that I didn’t know before. Also, through this project, it can easily be seen how your research can affect your final product. Working in a group of six was interesting because you can hear other people’s opinions and what inspires them.
