((based on a fake dating au I wanted to write. If you're interested in me doing more on this concept, please let me know. And I shall continue;) ))

The words had tumbled out before he could bring himself to stop them.

With Misty eyes, and the tear tracks drying quickly due to the cold breeze that seemed to dance by the tense air with ease. He moved his gaze away from the shocked face before him.

Knowing in that moment, he shouldn't if spoken. From the way Virgil's eyes had widened, and mouth opening like a blubbering fish, yet no sound escaping his cracked lips.

However before the air could become even more tense, the mocha eyed of the two, let out a nervous and yet weak laugh.

"nice...that's another one for Patton right? I'm sure he'll swoon over it."

His words were a releif, but also cause a sharp pain. In Roman's stomach, all he wanted to do, was scream out

'NO NO! YOUR WRONG! THEY ARE FOR YOU!' but all he could do instead was crack a small pained smile. One similar to Virgil's own, that shown a clear reflection of a broken heart.

"of course he will, I came up with it."

Roman managed to slip in almost a teasing tone to his voice. Brining the tense mood back to almost the relax mood, they had managed to create moments before.

Because no matter how he looked at it, Virgil was right in a sense..that should of been for Patton. That was the whole point of this facade right? He only took interest in Virgil, because he seemed to be friends with the colourful male, so creating a contract for 'Fake dating' In order to make Patton realise what a nice guy Roman was, was only natural, right?......right....

So why ... Why did it hurt so much. That when he made that little slip up, and said those words to Virgil, why did it hurt so bad that he didn't accept them.

Roman knew better. knew that he shouldn't of accually fallen for Virgil. After all Virgil was the complete opposite of everything He wanted. Virgil was, Sarcastic, witty, gloomy a good bit of the time, easily frightened and loved to wear black.

He was everything Patton wasn't! Yet- why was he everything Roman needed. Why did he feel like home. . And why did he seem match Roman in Way's other's never could. .

Roman wanted to stop these feelings from growing, after all he was also aware of Logan's interest in Virgil, and they had known each other longer. It wouldn't be very princely of him to steal another's interest...right? Even if it ment. They were his interest too.

But- they carried on.

Walking down the street, that was dimly lit by street lamps, one watching the night sky, and the other biting their lip as they stared at the ground. The walk was silent, and yet calm.

There was a moment in time, where both seemed to want to take the others hand, pinkies reaching slightly, and yet- retracted...

Neaither said anything, and neaither did any thing more. This was enough for now. Just being near one another.

And they were sure. After this night, it would b they fell back into the same of routine. Of chasing the wrong person.
