We always wanna be above everyone else. We wanna be on top of the charts and be looked up to by many. I don't know if it is normal or it is because of plain human nature. But regardless of, Jesus addresses it, knowing it has to be dealth with, with a statement that is quite unconventional - Be the servant. Uneasy? I know right! But then this is how it should be. You wanna be first? Be the Last. You wanna be on top? Be at the Bottom. You wanna lead? Serve.

As the old song says...

Make me a servant, Humble and Meek.

Lord let me lift up, those who are weak.

And may the pray'r of my heart, always be

Whenever God does something in you, the obvious after effect is to tell everyone about it. Speak of His goodness, make known of His wonderful deeds!

How many times have we failed to make Him known?

Of all the good things He has done and the supernatural things he made us see let us not forget to "go and tell"

Rise Again

Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.”

John 11:23 NLT

Jesus is the ressurection and the life. He is able to raise people from the dead, in this case, Lazarus. As I was reading this phrase, "your brother will rise again" I am also reminded that not only does Jesus able to make the a dead person live but with Him in our lives, He is able to make our dead dreams rise, our dead hopes revived, our dead potential arise, and our passion back to life. He is able and He is good at it.

Know and be known

“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, John 10:14 NLT

He knows his own and His own knows Him. This state of knowing each other is not achieved by just casual relationship or acquaintance but by constant frequent association.

We need to be constantly be with our shepherd so that we know how to listen to His voice and that we know the things He desires. How can we know it is Him if we don't spend much time with Him?

This simply show how important spending time with the Lord is. Know Him and be known by Him. 💪🏻
