being held at gunpoint to talk abt tom and jerry so here we fucking go !!!! thomas delventhal is the eldest son and heir of baron delventhal, and the only bigger thing than his love of antagonizing his brother is his ego. hes also lowkey a jock with a talent for shooting and he probably treats his favorite pistol with nearly the same care as his wife. he married very young, at around 17, and even though hes a complete asshole to jeremiah he never grew out of his honeymoon period with karolina, only exacerbating jeremiah's anger at him bc jerry d suffers from crippling cant get bitches disease :/ even though jerry d is technically better at magic than his brother, thomas is very clever and way smarter with money than both his father and jerry combined, so if not for outside interference he would have 100% gotten the delventhal family a lot more influence than they currently have. jerry d hates thomas' wife, he hates his gun, he hates the two inches of height thomas has over him and he hates that one specific look from his mother that's reserved solely for his older brother. thomas has weaker coloring than jeremiah but is still considered the delventhal paragon, and all that's left between them is a resentment quiet on thomas' part and gunshot-loud on jeremiah's.

irena's kinda a weird case where her personality in tth ended up completely different than i originally intended—she was supposed to be naive and well-meaning, and she's still mostly well-meaning but she's actually pretty calculating and a whole lot more like her mother than she'd ever admit. she's probably a virgo or smth and definitely kins not like other girls protagonists with her hobbies of reading and painting but she's also not like the other girls cuz her mom is a fascist who's killed a god and is gaslight gatekeep girlbossing her way to killing another one :/ she had nieven for a tutor and got really attached to him just like ruvaen did, and he was the one who taught her basically everything she knows until he was executed. she's also the Favored with a capital f of the god of time, which means she gets a get out of magical chernobyl faery prison free card
