headcanon: after the events of frlg, red decided to exclude yellow from all missions in order to reserve her energy. after watching her be drained/falling asleep + essentially helpless when they were turned to stone, he kind of just didn’t want to go through that again. blue and green agree, but only because they think they’ve put her through enough. yellow is unaware of this since her day is spent fishing, tending to the forest + teaching new trainers how to befriend pokemon. 

red, blue & green then get invited to participate in alola’s battle tree. meanwhile, uncle wilton decides it’s time for a family vacation in the resort region because he heard there’s great fishing spots. needless to say, blue(f) isn’t shown at battle tree because she’s spending her time touring with yellow (which accidentally leads them in meeting some ultra beasts)

He jerks his leg up when he feels Blue's slippery hand slam down on it. His sunglasses slip down a little, enabling him to give her the dirtiest look he can manage, and she sighs.

"Come on, Green. Stop laying around and being boring. It's the beach! You're supposed to have fun."

"Fun is subjective," he replies. He's told her the same thing before, and she pouts at him like she's done the times before. "I'm fine laying around at the beach, even if you wouldn't be."

"She does that for tanning though," Red puts in as he takes a seat beside them. Green shrugs and Blue huffs, taking the chance to sprawl across Red's lap.

"Yeah, after I have fun. Like a normal person. Come onnnn!"

"I said I was fine here." He reclines back on his towel, just to prove his point. "Why don't you go accidentally hit a guy in the face with a volleyball like the last time we were here?"

"You're jealous of my friend-making skills," Blue mutters, then sighs. "I guess his mind can't be changed. Come on, Red, let's go do something fun."

Friend-making skills, huh. Yeah, right. Green listens to them leave and sighs; he lets himself relax beneath the shade of his umbrella, the ocean breeze lazily blowing and damp sand refreshingly cool on his outstretched legs --

Blue gasps when he jerks both his legs away, frowning. Red gives him the most innocent it was her idea, not mine, please don't kill me look he's ever tried to make, and Green shakes his head.
