‘ you know that you are welcome to remain here with me. ’ / for Kat!
ASKS!! // always accepting!
She doesn’t like demacians.
It is just one of those things that ought to be a universal truth. Noxians and demacians don’t mix. The hatred runs too deep, the disliking a mutual thing, the distrust near impossible to overcome. Katarina looked at them and saw only hypocrites and idiots too bothered with having the moral high ground while they killed and persecuted just the same. They looked at her and saw only gratuitous violence and cruelty, the spawn of an empire that knows nothing but conquest and brute force. It is how it is. Noxians and demacians don’t mix.
Until, of course, they did.
Katarina had not ended up involved with them on purpose, yet her path seemed to always lead her back to the demacians somehow. But where the first mission -- her very first mission -- had led her to targets to be killed, recently her interactions with them had not been as antagonistic as they should.
It’s foolish, and impulsive, and it’ll end badly. Regardless of the truth of her involvement with Garen, that it is anything other than enmity is a problem in itself. Neither Noxus nor Demacia would look upon it kindly -- and she was still noxian, always noxian, first and foremost. She would do anything for the empire, regardless of her personal feelings.
This, whatever it is, will end badly. Luxanna Crownguard ought to know it, too. Nevertheless, if she does, the girl ignores it, approaching her with niceness and the offer of friendship -- foolish, as well, if naive rather than impulsive.
Katarina does not remember ever being so... pure. Cassiopeia may have been even worse. If Lux expects her to be friendly and open in return, she will end up disappointed. “ I don’t intend on staying a moment longer than I must, Crownguard -- I’ll be out of here as soon as possible. ”
The subtle curl of her lips is more smirk than smile, too sharp to be truly nice; there is no thank you for the offer or amenities offered in return, yet Katarina’s words have more sincerity than threat, for once. “ A word of advice, though: be careful who you trust. It’d be a terrible mistake to trust someone like me. ”
