Babelfishh- Anxiety Lesions
Sitting here at my kitchen table listening to the mad man that is babelfishh. His music could easily be thrown into the “noise rap" ring, but, while he possesses some of those elements some think of, he is more. The skill at which he takes distorted drums, and guitars and connects these sounds together, then weaves in the disjointed thoughts of a struggling working man is something magical and frightening. It's like the built up tensions in David Fincher films, or the surreal and dark dream state of a Aronofsky movie. The layered screams of "Final Church Minon" bring to mind the scene in "se7en" when Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt walk into the adult peep show theater to find the music blaring and the victims left broken, and dead.
Bablefishh isn’t for everyone with a very centered taste in hip-hop, but if you veer into punk, screamo, industrial and prog rap at all, this might be well worth your money and time. He’s got a great catalog of some other amazing tapes too!!
