Final sweep of the studio before the big room swap to a nicer space in the house with more light— and because I’m an Old Man with an Old Man back, I’ve got to pare down the ten ton totes of comics pages I’ve accumulated to smaller, more manageable totes so’s I don’t have to revisit a hospital anytime soon.
Been sifting through past work-for-hire, ghost work, failed proposals, rejected pitches, unpublished books, and personal projects all morning. It’s been surreal and amusing how many jobs I’ve done I have absolutely zero memory of doing.
Oh hey— that’s an original Lee Highvalley strip. I wonder how I have one since the newspaper kept them all? For some reason I must have redone it and this was a first, unused take or something. Huh…
And of course, the usual pile of pages from the project I’ve been messing around (artistically procrastinating) with since 1997.
Break’s over— back to work.
