Edit : I do understand that private schools receive no help from DoE, but there is still the point that my schools priorities (Bible classes and 'tribe time') that reflect on our governments current priorities. While I am not Christian and understand it was my family's choice to go to this school, we were told that general Ed and advanced classes were still prioritized and five years ago kids were getting into Berkeley and Davis and other great unis and colleges. Now they try to tell us community and Christian colleges are better. If you want those, great, but you shouldn't have to limit your student population to those just because you don't want them to stand out or enrich their interests. Christian values are great, I am not bashing them or the religion. But there comes a point where those around you go from discussing morals and philosophy to straight Christian Nationalism. The defending of the DoE is not just effecting public schools and universities. It effects private institutions that align with our current governments agenda both from ethical and political standpoints.
