" There's a little rumor running around that your voice could serenade even the great phoenix into submission. That is quite the fiery feat for not many can even hope to temper the ornery with mere voice alone. Perhaps you would enjoy singing me a tune in more ways than one? "
This question that reached her ear from a mysterious petitioner made her pause, she let it rest in her thoughts for a time, long enough to go out and have a very interesting evening in the city before returning to Suramar to shamelessly take advantage of a luxurious shower and bath, only a few more days and the renovation of her own would be done. As much as she had enjoyed her time over these last few nights, and the distractions they had held, she wanted to be back in her new home not beholden to anyone, and not using the reserves of gold she had set aside, just to have access to a shower.
Sitting in the middle of a huge bed, she worked citrus and cinnamon oil into her curls, letting the scent float around her, letting the fantasy, and the edge, of this query sink into her mind. She had a feeling for it, and as much as she did love fantasy, it was the other side that she found her amusement in, that hint of something a little more edgy that had her lips twisted into a smirk.
“Well, isn’t this interesting,” she said, having lost time in thought to a place where she hand her hands weaving her hair into a loose braid so she didn’t wake in a cloud of curls that have wrapped across her face, twisted around her ears, under bodies and just in need of untangling, usually, when she wasn’t exhausted, she completed this ritual. “I am sure that there is more to this story that I would love to know.”
A chuckle escaped her lips and she shook her head, “I am fairly sure I am not one to have a voice that would call any creature of legend into my sway, be it phoenix, dragon or a great sea serpent, that was my mother not myself, though maybe one day…” The thought of maybe one day feeling she might be the talent her mother was, made her shake her head.
“I do enjoy singing special songs in private,” a small, amused smile danced in her lips.
A sound came from the doorway, shoes being kicked off, weight sinking into the mattress behind her, warm lips descended to caress her neck, “Who are you talking to, dear Nahilvi?”
Closing her eyes, she tipped her head to the side, “Just considering slaying legends with my voice.”
