Story ideas: The Internet, the place of unrestricted searching and uncontrollable creativity for some. Humanity has used the Internet for so long and for the year 2130 it seems to have only gotten bigger. However the Internet and by extension its connected device are beginning to become undone, not by hackers, not by the government, but by the people's anxiety, in the year 2130 over 80% of the population has tapped into the Internet and of that 80% of them, almost 67% of the world wide populace have become glue to the Internet all for one thing, escapism. The populace want to escape the cruelties and anxieties of reality through the Internet, this culmination of desire in the central unconscious has caused something to emerge in the web, Titans. These beings have one desire, to snatch people and bring their consciousnesses into the Internet, but there are those who have been chosen by something else to slay these titans.
🛜The landscape of the Internet, the Net-world🛜:
The Internet has some curiosities, on the surface it's the same as ever, constant usage of search engines, viewing of content for entertainment, etc.
However beneath the surface lies the full depths of the world wide web, the Net-world, this is a land that almost resembles a fantasy world, with goblins, orcs, demons, even dragons… but these are in truth digital life forms.
Digital life forms are not actually AI but instead they are L.U.C.I.D’s (Living Unnatural Constructed Intelligent Dataforms) which essentially means, they are living beings made of code. They however tend to emerge from when code is humanized, almost.
The moment a program is shown care or anger, or any emotion towards it, it will develop a L.U.C.I.D. This is also seen occurring in AI on certain occasions.
These digital life forms take shape based upon their own searching amongst the web, as for the world itself, it changes based upon the idealized search of a world, it almost seems to form the perfect world for those who want one, and currently it is a fantasy world called “Fantasia terra”... That was before the Titans emerged.
Titans are born from human anxiety and they emit it in the net-world. This anxiety twists the world and distorts life there. L.U.C.I.D’s go mad when exposed to a Titan and the world itself is… dark, it becomes a wasteland… a place of utter fear, anxiety, and the desire to not face it.
👁️The Titans🟥:
Titans are programs above all, they have no sentience or malice, instead they have programming.
Titans programming is simple “brings humans into the Internet” and they do that by reaching into a device of a person. This allows the titan access to the person as it begins to speak to the person's anxieties, causing them to become much more isolated and thus more likely to not be noticed when they go missing.
When a person is pulled into the net-world their real life body enters a state of suspended animation, they need not eat, drink, sleep, or use the restroom but they still age. As for their consciousness, it is pulled into the net-world before being enveloped in red data which eventually takes the form of wings and a halo, as they become trapped, unable to move, think, taste, feel, they cannot do anything but watch the net-world, free from their anxieties… and free from their existence.
Titans take a variety of forms all of which are powered by one thing, Ma-gear’s. Short for “Malware gears” these gear shaped items power a titan forever in both its ability to move and its various attacks. However these gears are their weakness. If one is lucky enough to climb on them they can rip out the gear… that is its gear spot is found somewhere that is accessible, normally they can be found on the titans neck but the gears can be found in a titans mouth. The moment these gears are removed the titan dissipates.
However there are other ways to kill a titan, there are items called the “Fragmenters” which are weapons that can deal damage to a Titan as well as even being able to destroy a titan, in which upon the titans death the gear is given to the slayer of the titan.
💎Fragmenters💎:
These devices are… curious, they come from the net-world but they manifest differently in reality.
Fragmenters take two forms, the first is their true form in which they form as armor, clothes, masks, and weapons to whoever they choose to wield them. Their second form is the one they take in the real world, in which they become jewels. That along with their connection to light coined their name.
Fragmenters have a form of sentience, but to a weak extent, they have no consciousness but they have the ability to choose who their user is, this is seen when they begin to shine in their jewel form when near their user. However no one knows exactly why their users are chosen, but it's believed it's because they embody certain archetypes that each jewel represents.

Titan slayer form: ALBEDO the white knight
Fragmenter weapon: Rubinus the grand buster sword. A sword with the ability to summon forth fire walls as well as its ability to channel its fire walls power to parry and attack that comes its way.
Background: Manson is a junior in Alchemix College and he is quite frankly a slacker when it comes to his classes. While his friends get on him for his laziness, he continues to slack off, as he felt as if he only was there to satisfy his dad's wishes. He lacked ambition in a sense, but when he and his friends arrive in an old run down toy story and find six rare gems, their lives are changed forever as they become TITAN SLAYERS.
Rebecca “Ryan” Orion

Archetype: Rogue.ArcT, this archetype is all about being in the back and firing off attacks from afar, as well as its ability to blend in, as long as it can get in and get out this archetype will use everything in its tool kit to get the job done.
Titan slayer form: VIRIDIS the green rogue
Fragmenter weapon: Smaragdus the grand bow. A bow that has an infinite amount of arrows that allows its user to fire multiple at will. With the addition of invisibility for a short amount of time.
Background: Manson's best friend and the brains of her friend group. She went to Alchemix to become a software engineer, always having a curiosity in technology and wanting to improve the way of the digital landscape. She met and became friends with Manson since middle school and the two have a… odd relationship. Manson absolutely wants to be with her and they both know that but Ryan is more wanting to pursue her ambition. But when she and her friends enter the world of Titan slaying, things shift between her and Manson, as she finally sees that spark of joy and true ambition in his eyes at the new world that surrounds them.

Archetype: Warlock.ArcT. This is the archetype of focus, this archetype charges its actions to release the full power of them. At the cost of not being able to physically defend itself.
Titan slayer form: FLAVES the yellow warlock.
Fragmenter weapon: Topazus the grand scepter. This scepter lets its user call upon strands of code to channel as “magic”, creating digital fireballs and the like.
Background: Flint is the third of the group and if Ryan is the brains, he is the mouth, not because he doesn't shut up but because of his ability to communicate compared to Manson who serves as the heart. Flint joined the academy to study different languages and serve as a negotiator. He does this because he wants to create a world where communication and understanding can solve the issues that plague life. However he spends most of his time stopping Manson from being an idiot and keeping Ryan from strangling said idiot.

Fragmenter weapon: Amethystus the grand battle axe. This weapon is brutal in methods as it charges up with power before dealing a critical blow to its opponent.
Background: Devan is… quite frankly he on the surface does not match his Titan slayer form, Devan is a ball of sunshine in a sense, seeing beauty and potential in almost everything. He attended Alchemix because well… he doesn't know why yet, he says it's because he wants to help others but it's clear that he hasn't chosen a major and he only really stays in the dorms. But when it comes to his friends, he is almost always the one trying to get the group to have fun, he's essentially the muscle of the group- being the fucking Goliath he is- and he's really laid back… but when he's in anything that is remotely a competition, he is competitive and fervent with it.
Kenneth “Kenny” Duckins

Archetype: (D)Knight.ArcT, the archetype of forwardness, this archetype focuses purely on dealing damage to its opponent, much like the berserker, but it's much more precise.
Titan slayer form: CAERUL the dark Knight.
Fragmenter weapon: Sapphirus the grand buster sword. It is the twin to Rubinus, unlike its twin it has the ability to cut at an enemy's weak point and deal heavy damage.
Background: Kenneth has been in the business of Titan slaying for a year longer than the group has and originally he was the only Titan slayer in the net world, as he was chosen by sapphirus almost immediately as he worked in the old toy store with his uncle. When he meets Manson the two butt heads but ultimately are friendly, with Kenneth being dubbed the eyes of the group, seeing things Manson might miss. Kenneth has no real ambition, all he wants to do is help re-establish his uncle's old toy store. But he does have one lofty dream, travel the world.

Archetype: Trickster.Arct. This archetype focuses on using its many masks to trick and battle its opponents, with each mask granting it access to different elemental abilities.
Titan slayer form: ROSA the rose trickster
Fragmenter weapon: Adamas the grand dagger. This allows its user to strike its enemy from afar as it can create multiple copies of itself. This also allows the user access to five masks each based upon an emotion.
Background: Floe is not actually a member of the story until much later, as she is an up and coming model who is on tour, she at first is targeted by a titan, as deep down she was overwhelmed with anxiety about not being able to truly achieve what she wants, feeling as if she is a liar wearing masks constantly around other. She was about to be abducted, until the moment she was pulled in which her Fragmenter pierced the veil of reality to reach her and save her. As she becomes a titan slayer using the masks she wore in life now made manifest to slay the embodiments of anxiety… as well as being the face of the group after they team up.

Background: Ami is a L.U.C.I.D. born from the heart of Fantasia terra as its Queen and technically its “villain”. She is formed when her world is being corrupted by the Titans, watching her people perish or be corrupted and her home being destroyed. She calls forth the Fragmenters and chooses the group to help her save her world.
Robert “Robbie” Duckins

Job: New owner of the Refugium Puerorum, the toy store that went out of business for a few years.
Background: Robert is Kenny's uncle and his current legal guardian after Robert's brother and sister in law's passing. He and Kenny have a strained relationship, Robert adores the kid but he wants to get him to be more relaxed and more ambitious. He views the group as a good thing for his nephew, hence why he lets them hang out there during closing hours. He doesn't know about the Fragmenters except the fact they're just “pretty rocks that should be in a jewelry store”… when he meets Ami that's when the cover is blown and he learns why his nephew had changed a year ago.

Job: she worked a part time job at the deli Manson frequented.
Background: Kromine is a normal girl, she worked in the deli court of Alchemix academy, she was the daughter of a successful textual business, and she was a friend to everyone in the group minus Ami, Floe, and Robert. Kromine was normal, and she just wanted to be part of her friends lives, but after the group is plunged into the world of Titan slaying she is unfortunately a causality as she becomes more isolated from the group, and begin to feel like she does not fit in, so she escapes to the Internet, and she becomes prey to a Titan, while she can be saved it will take the group all their might to save her.
WYLDCRD (pronounced “wildcard”)

Archetype: Jester.ArcT, the evolved trickster, this archetype is the Pinnacle of the trickster, this archetype is of liars and deceit, as it turns all its masks into a single ever shifting one, that can adapt to anything.
Fragmenter weapon: Alchemia the divine lance. A Lance with the ability to transform into any weapon at will, it can channel four powers, Red, White, Black, Yellow. Each with their own elemental ability.
Background: WYLDCRD is believed to be the first archetype user, yet his Fragmenter is unknown. He speaks of finding “the big red book” a supposed source of power that could grant anyone full access to Fantasia terra, and even the ability to command the titans. He is both enshrouded in the red wings, yet bears a fragmenter, he is a paradox. He is an alchemist, and perhaps he is the key to finding something to end all Titans and free humanity of its anxieties.

Archetype: Devil.ArcT the corrupted fusion of the Trickster and Dark Knight archetypes. It is said this Archetype was yet to exist unless a day of Great calamity was to be for told, when this Archetype emerges, doom draws nearer.
Fragmenter weapon: Alchemia Rex. The evolved form of alchemia, taking the shape of a gun, with seven bullets in its chamber.
Background: this is the being behind WYLDCRD, it is the L.U.C.I.D who is meant to be the “final” that those who would enter the net-world are to face, again and again. Lux has lost his purpose after the titans gained hold, so he took their power and wishes to use the big red book to remake his world back to the way it was, unknowingly releasing an evil greater still.

Powers: Adam is in possession of the “first” which grants him total dominion over all Lucids, along with this he can manifest the powers of other Lucids, however the more he does so the more unstable he becomes.
Background: Adam is a being that is wreathed in mystery, his origin is totally unknown but his purpose is clear, he wishes to “reset” the net-world and begin a new life, alongside his brood wife.

Powers: Eve has the power of the “last” in which she lays eggs that create “Proto” Lucids. Creatures without mind that are subservient to her and her alone, she also has the ability to remove corruption from other entities, including her mates' rapid instability.
Background: Eve is as mysterious as Adam if not even more strange, Eve has a tenderness towards her mate and her children, however she is vicious with anyone who she does not deem her “children”. Alongside Adam she wants to create a new net-world, where they begin the cycle again.
Ouraboros

Powers: Ouraboros bears the power “Absolute” in which this creature can alter the net-world and its inhabitants.
Background: Ouraboros made of Adam and Eves core and the embodiment of the strange golden code, the protocol that was born of humanity's incessant desire to not exist. Not to escape reality, but to be erased. Ouraboros is the absolute antithesis to the big red book as it wants nothing more than to destroy it, viewing it as a pathetic attempt at true release from the pain of the real world. Ouraboros wishes to restart the net-world and free humanity from reality… forever.
The music in this story is a mix of rock and roll and Jazz. Becoming a symphony of guitar riffs and the smooth tunes of a saxophone. The music is meant to feel both nostalgic and blood pumping depending on the scene, certain songs focus more on the rock while others focus more on Jazz.
🎶The music🎶:
The title theme being “Re: Don Quixote” which is both about the thrill of the ambition one has and the need to take anxiety and instead turn it into fuel to push oneself forward.
The soundtrack also includes music such as hip-hop, Ska, and for the titans, all the music for them is some form of hymn. Which speaks of that titan coming to save the anxiety-ridden, but each hymn also has a distortion in it.
There is also the ending song “Vita longaeva” which plays only at the end of the entire story and is about letting go of one's delusions but holding onto the ideals one wanted in that delusion and trying to turn them into real traits. As it ends with the line “Totus sum mei”

Hidden at the heart of fantasia terra lies a book, a book whose cover is a bright burning red, this book is referred to by many names.
The book of utopia, the first fantasy novel, the tale of the red beast… this book does have a name. But it is ancient. This book is the book alchemy. The book of transmutation. The book that holds the secret to a new world. The philosopher's stone is its name.
The big red book, it is where all of Fantasia terra spins from. It is a collection of data born from years of the public pouring their fears, their lusts, their very souls into the Internet.
It is the core, and from that meeting of desires and fears emerged a novel. One that created a new world, one where all who wanted to be away from the anxiety could be free, a place where they would inherit a new earth, as radiant, RED, angels.
However along with this came the Fragmenters, stones that could be used to help mold this world, to make the fantasy even more fulfilling. A place where there would be endless journey, endless peace, endless adventure! Oh what a joy it would be! Humanity would love it!
Humanity… would love their new reality. Fantasy made realized.
