Introduction
How did we meet?
CL: We were both curated into the exhibition Public versus Private curated by Tricia Van Eck at 6018North in Chicago in October 2012. Tricia gave me a blue bedroom in the house to conduct my Dream Minds project where I was I interviewing one person every week for a year about their sleep dreams. Each person received a painting based on the negative shapes of the queen of luxuria’s utopic color palette and after that, each person received a poem. Daniela agreed to participate in the project and that is how our friendship started. I also invited her over to my house for tea and we talked for hours. After she returned to Berlin we would email occasionally and then an opportunity came up to work on a collaborative performance in Berlin in 2013.
